I am a qualified teacher and for the last 10 years I have been teaching ukulele and singing in support of the Music National Curriculum and running workshops for county music services to demonstrate this.  I have published books on teaching school ukulele and to support students in the learning of the instrument.

I also teach ukulele and singing to adults both in workshops and individual tuition. In 2006 I founded the very successful 'Taunton Ukulele Strummers Club' (TUSC), since then I have written about ukulele for 'Acoustic' magazine and co-presented the ukulele podcast 'The Ukecast'.

Over the last 25 years I have performed solo and in many different bands. Since 2008 I have played ukulele and sung with cafe jazz band ‘The Night Owls‘; bringing to life the hot syncopated songs of the 1920′s and wooing love songs of the 1930′s. I have performed on BBC Radio, at the UK Ukulele Festival, been featured in the documentary film 'Mighty Ukulele' and even appeared on Hawaiian television.

I am based in the southwest of the UK but will travel any distance for performances or workshops.

Be seeing you,

Ukulele Nipper
